College of the North Atlantic’s campus in Burin raised $900 for the Salvation Army-CHCM-Marystown Mall Happy Tree this year. The funds were presented to CHCM announcer Gary Myles during the school’s annual Christmas dinner Thursday.
Donations included $400 from the Jeans Day Committee, $300 from the Student Council as well as $100 contributions from the Staff Social Committee and faculty representative NAPE Local 9402.
Kaye Riggs of Grand Bank-based Dynamic Air Shelters also made a $500 presentation to the Happy Tree project on behalf of the company during the dinner.
