The walk is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Harris Drive and McGettigan Boulevard intersection (near Visitor Information Centre) and proceeding to the Marystown Municipal Centre, at the Penney Street intersection.

The Town of Burin will also host its march at the same time, with marchers walking from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Parking Lot to the Burin Municipal Centre in Salmonier.

Organizers are hoping for a large turnout to send a strong, powerful and united message ‘We want our streets safe and our communities on the Burin Peninsula to be violent free’.
