When the annual walk for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is mentioned, William Breon of Grand Bank is the first name that comes to mind.

The 13-year-old, a Grade Eight student at John Burke High School, is gearing up once again for the MS walk in St. John’s May 26. This will be his seventh year participating in the fundraising event.
William noted he has raised a total of $18,900 for the cause; this year his objective is to surpass the $20,000 mark.
The young man’s motivation started as a personal crusade for his father, who was diagnosed with MS 13 years ago.
“I do it for my dad, and to raise money so that one day there will be a cure for MS.”
William has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of the tremendous effort he has made to raise awareness of MS.
