Newfoundland and Labrador Lieutenant-Governor John, and his wife Jane, Crosbie visited the Burin Peninsula Friday. The vice-regal couple hosted a reception aboard the Navy Frigate ‘HMCS St. John’s’, while docked just outside Grand Bank Harbour. Guests were shuttled to and from the naval vessel. The summer tour is part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Included in the tour are stops at Francois, McCallum, Ramea and Grey River along the South Coast and Eastport.
