Marystown native Kaetlyn Osmond placed third in the women's category at the 2012 Canadian Figure Skating Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick Saturday.

It was the debut appearance at the senior level for the high schooler, who now lives and trains in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Osmond's 155.47 points trailed only runner-up Cynthia Phaneuf's 157.94 and champion Amélie Lacoste's 159.51.

Osmond started her skating career with the Marystown Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club.
