Regional Cross-Country Meet

Ten senior girls towed the line for the Eastern Cross-Country Regionals Wednesday at the Marystown Track and Field Complex.

The event determined participants for the provincial championships in Stephenville Oct. 27.

The route started at the far end of the soccer pitch and travelled part of the Garnish Pond Road, with length depending on the division. Megan Ryan of MCHS Clippers was the top senior female, completing a three-kilometre trek in 13:50.

Participating schools included Clarenville High, Clarenville Middle School, St. Lawrence Academy, Lawn’s Holy Name of Mary Academy, Burin’s Pearce Junior High and Marystown Central High.
