A 36-year-old male has been sent to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre for observations following a single vehicle accident earlier this evening.
Police responded to an area on Shoal Point at approximately 8:30 where a pick up had left the road, it is believed that the accident was caused by a medical issue.
“It looks like the guy’s (blood) sugar went low and he went off the road,” explained Cst. Darrell Steward.
He added there were no other known injuries.
The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department, and emergency personal also responded.
