Thank you to the Lions of Newfoundland and Labrador (districts N3 and N4) for their generous contribution of $24,400 to the Health Care Foundation for the Agnes Cowan Hostel.

After a visit to the Agnes Cowan Hostel, Past Council Chair Len Mooney recognized a need to provide a well-needed distraction for patients staying in these facilities. A request to all Lions Clubs in districts N3 and N4 was put forward to donate funds to purchase a TV for each room, as well as four common areas.
Carmella Butland, Development Manager, had the opportunity to attend the 2016-17 Lions convention on behalf of the foundation to receive the cheque from District Governor, Sam Wells, and Immediate Past District Governor, Paul Abbott. Past Council Chair Len Mooney was unable to attend, as he’s presently out of the province.
The foundation wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to all Lions of Newfoundland and Labrador for a job well done! Thank you for recognizing a need and doing your part to see it through.
