BURIN, NL — With uniforms freshly pressed and boats polished to a shine the cadets of RCSCC 280 Zaandam took to the floor for their 36th annual ceremonial review. 

LT(N) Albert Jorgensen was the reviewing officer for the review held at the gymnasium of Pearce Junior High June 4.

Cadets were able to show the skills they had acquired throughout the training year during their mobile displays on Power of Commend and Drill Team

CPO1 Sarah McDuff received The Royal Canadian Legion Medal of Excellence. It was presented to her by Donald Cooke of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Burin.

The members also had a chance to share their knowledge of various aspects of cadet activities through their static displays on marksmanship and sailing

Some of the major awards presented during the ACR included the Lord Strathcona Trust Medal, which was present to CPO2 Ben Price. This is the highest award that can be earned in the cadet program in Canada in a training year.

Also CPO1 Sarah McDuff was awarded The Royal Canadian Legion Medal of Excellence.
