FRENCHMAN’S COVE, N.L. – The community of Frenchman’s Cove is rolling out the welcome mat as they greet visitors and locals alike for Come Home Year 2018.

The celebration gets underway on Saturday, July 21 with a parade and classic car show at 1 p.m., which will be followed by the official opening ceremonies.

A full week of events are planned, including family day at the park, dory races, a mummers’ parade and dance, and lots of traditional Newfoundland meals.

Some of the musical guests performing during the festivities include the Phamtom Four, Friends of Sim (Gerald Stoodley and Corey Poole), the Jackmans, and Jeff Pittman along with the Anstey Family.

Christmas in the Cove is slated for Wednesday, July 25 with Friends of Sim providing the music for the mummers’ dance.
