GRAND BANK, NL – The Grand Bank/Fortune Ambulance Service held its 5th annual Pack the Back program on Dec. 9 at Collins Superette in Fortune, and Foodland and Warren's Store in Grand Bank.

Paramedic Derrick Dunne explained paramedics and fire fighters collect non-perishable food items and toys each year and pass them along to the Grand Bank /Fortune Food Bank and the Salvation Army.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate non-perishable food items, toys and money, and to the three stores that continue to support this very worthwhile project,” said Dunne.

“Your efforts will help make this Christmas season a little more bearable for the less fortunate in our communities.”
