BURIN, NL – The play space and shuffleboard court at Central Park in Burin has undergone some upgrades to a path connecting areas of the park to the main parking area.

Pavement has been added so people with mobility issues can better navigate the pathway into the facility.

Deputy Mayor Howard Lundrigan updated members of council on the progress during the recreation committee report Aug 8.

“The pathway to the playground, and the area of the wheelchair accessible swing has been completed,” he reported.

“The paved surface will allow wheelchair accessibility to the game of shuffleboard as well, and the wheelchair accessible swing will be installed when it arrives.”
