We encourage young entrepreneurs to make their dreams a reality. Some youth in the region, with great entrepreneurial ideas, have begun planning while others have started their business already.
Ava Pitcher of Burin is a new participant in the Youth Ventures Program this summer.
Ava is an 11-year-old Grade 6 student at Donald C Jamieson Academy. She recently decided she wanted to take advantage of a business opportunity for youth in her age range. Ava has started her own Business called Burin Seaside Slime.
Seaside Slime is a product Ava makes herself and is designed to provide sensory fulfillment for individuals on the autism spectrum.
As well, the Seaside Slime can be used as a creative outlet for children, an exercise tool for strength loss; or even a cleaning tool for small spaces. She aims to go above and beyond to satisfy her clients and to be sure there is something for everyone.
Seaside Slime is available online and in store at Extreme Pita in Burin. Ava hopes to attract new clients every day, so be sure to check out her business.
