Bridget Swift has been a fixture at Make Music Happen events since Mr. H Presents began the journey of creating more opportunities for young people to experience live music.

It’s a safe bet her commitment to soaking up the knowledge and experience of seasoned musicians who are trying to guide young musicians along the way has paid dividends because the 16-year-old Corner Brook native is going to release an album later this year.

Swift was one of the 20 local musicians who participated in Make Music Happen 5 this past weekend at Corner Brook Regional High.

“It’s really exciting to be back here again and see all the new people and learn a bunch of new things,” Swift said.

Swift has been playing and writing music since she was nine years old. It is her favourite thing to do and it’s a passion she shares with her family so she is quite at home when she is on stage.

Spending time with accomplished musicians who have turned heads in the music industry is a worthwhile investment for a girl who appears to be made for the stage.
