The 37th annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival lineup was announced this afternoon in St. John’s.
The festival will run from Aug. 9-11 in Bowring Park for the first time due to ongoing renovations at Bannerman Park.
The lineup includes: Nova Scotia musician Joel Plaskett performing with his father, Bill Plaskett; and Corner Brook’s Sherman Downey and the Ambiguous Case.
Other performers include: Pilot to Bombardier, Crowd of Bold Shareman, The Good Lovelies, and Ireland’s Sunday’s Well, and more.
Sessions in the Francophone tent, cultural diversity tent, traditions tent, instrumental tent, homemade jam tent, will be held throughout the weekend along with dance workshops.
Last year’s folk festival saw more than 12,000 people attend.
