Arrest made in alleged Grand Falls-Windsor liquor store theft

GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L. – The RCMP have made an arrest in relation to an alleged theft of alcohol from the NLC Liquor Store on Cromer Avenue in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Police arrested a 59-year-old man yesterday, June 14, the same day a release was issued asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual pictured in surveillance footage stills from the business.

The man, who is alleged to have stolen five 752-millilitre liquor bottles from after entering the store with a personal covered cart, has been released on conditions.

He will be back in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court on Aug. 8.
