Road signs stolen again near Lamaline

Police on the Burin Peninsula are once again on the hunt for road signs removed from the highway near Lamaline.

It is the third time in the past two years signage belonging to the Department of Transportation and Works has been stolen in the area, according to the RCMP.

 “Road signs are placed on the highway to provide the public notification of safety concerns and removal of these signs puts all vehicle traffic and the persons travelling the highway at risk of injury or damage to vehicles,” a news release issued by the RCMP on Friday stated.
