Canadian Army Reserve armouries in N.L. open to the public on Saturday

Canadian Army Reserve units across the country are offering an opportunity for the public to learn more about what they do.

Canadian Army armouries, including Beaumont Hamel Armoury in Grand Falls-Windsor, are inviting the public to drop by on Saturday.

All Reserve armouries across Canada are holding open houses on Saturday to encourage contact between soldiers and citizens.
Reservists are dispersed in communities across the country and are a crucial part of the Canadian Army. They train and provide professional personnel who can contribute to the army’s capability to achieve its roles and missions.
Newfoundland and Labrador has armouries in Grand Falls-Windsor, St. John’s, Stephenville and Corner Brook.
The open houses run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
