MARYSTOWN, NL – A public information session on the Atlantic salmon aquaculture project proposed by Grieg NL Nurseries Ltd. and Grieg NL Seafarms Ltd. for Marystown and Placentia Bay will be held next month.
The session is a requirement of the environmental impact statement the company was ordered to complete on the project.
The company says all aspects of the proposed project and associated activities will be described during the session, and people will be given an opportunity to state their concerns or request information.
The controversial project calls for the operation of a salmon nursery in Marystown that will supply 11 sea cages in Placentia Bay.
The session will take place at St. Gabriel’s Hall in Marystown on March 13 at 7 p.m.
