Local company on trade mission to the U.S. 


Grand Bank-based Dynamic Air Shelters is among a group of businesses from the province taking part in the 2015 Sea-Air-Space Expo in Washington, D.C., today.

Government has partnered with the province’s areospace and defence industry association to lead the three-day mission to the United States capital.

“Our government has led missions to this event for the past two years, providing a platform for home-grown innovation, and resulting in successful networking and marketing opportunities a variety of local industries,” Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development Minister Darin King said in a news release.

The provincial government has invested approximately $45,000 in covering a share in the cost of the expo’s Canadian Pavilion.

The province also contributed roughly $15,500 in stipends through the business development support program to participating business organizations.

The province's aerospace and defence industry generates $350 million in annual revenues and has experienced a 300 per cent growth rate since 2004.
