MOORING COVE - As you walk into the small two-story home of local artist Bridie Jenkinson, you are surrounded by examples of the painter's work.  

From a scrapbook of her work she keeps on the table, the framed pictures on the walls or the stack of paintings leaning against the wall, amidst it all her latest project - 30 uniquely painted cans neatly stacked one a top the other on the couch.
After completing a series of 30 landscape paintings, Jenkinson to begin what she has titled "The Cocoa Can Project".
"I got bored with doing my paintings," she said. "I did 30 of them and I sold most of them, or give 'em away."
Jenkinson said that up until now she would always discard empty cocoa cans.
"(One day) I said, 'I wonder can I use these?' so I peeled off the wrap on them. When I did there's bare cardboard underneath and I said 'I think I'll start painting them and once I started I couldn't stop," she said.
Jenkinson said each one has a unique look.
"No two (are) alike," she said. "Whatever comes in my mind I just paint, it don't take me long - a couple of hours and I'm finished."
