Thieves break into funeral home, insurance business in Grand Bank


The Burin Peninsula RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in solving several break and entries in the Town of Grand Bank between Sept. 5 and 12.

The RCMP said in a news release "culprits" gained entry into Warren's Funeral Home and Co-operators Insurance while businesses were closed and two private residences were also broken into while owners were away.

Money was stolen from both businesses and one of the residences. The suspect or suspects gained entry using something to pry the doors open.

There was also an attempt to gain entry into Shear Indulgence Day Spa & Salon but without success.
