The tournament will take place at Terra Nova’s Twin River golf course on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The tournament will feature a putting contest, prizes for holes-in-one, a prize for an eagle on hole nine, a barbeque and potentially a tournament celebrity.

The tournament has been a huge success since its first year in 1991 and to date has raised over $435,000 for the Discovery Health Care Foundation. Last year, the golf tournament raised $30,000.

The Foundation secures funding to provide medical technology and equipment for the health care facilities on the Bonavista Peninsula and the Clarenville area within Eastern Health.

You can register for the tournament by contacting the Discovery Health Care Foundation office at (709) 466-5231.
