He was released on bail Tuesday, following proceedings held shortly before noon in Courtroom No. 7 at provincial court in St. John’s.
He, or a representative, will have to be back at court in St. John’s on May 28, to answer to the charges against him: one count of marijuana trafficking and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Hubbard was arrested and charges were laid as a result of an investigation and drug seizure of 23 pounds of marijuana by the RNC-RCMP Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit. No details have been released on the drug bust, other than that it was in St. John’s.
Hubbard was required to provide $10,000 to secure his release. He will have to remain in B.C. while the case is being dealt with in the courts.
