RNC requests arrest warrant in forcible confinement case

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has requested an arrest warrant for a 26-year-old man as a result of an incident in St. John's Thursday morning.

The RNC says it occurred in a home in St. John's and charges include forcible confinement, assault, property damage and numerous breaches of court orders.

Two women also charged in separate disturbance, threats complaints

Meanwhile, RNC officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in Kilbride around 11 p.m. Thursday night.

A man received minor injuries and as a result, a 28-year-old woman was charged with assault and released to appear in court at a later date.

And, shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, the RNC responded to a complaint of threats in the centre of St. John's.

That investigation resulted in a 31-year-old woman being charged with two counts of uttering threats and a single count of breaching court orders.

The accused was detained at the lockup for a court appearance today.
