Floressa Harris of Gander won a bronze medal for Canada today at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Ramsau, Austria.
The Memorial Sea-Hawks' Jill Snow is finishing her collegiate volleyball career as an all-Canadian.
Jill Snow of the Memorial Sea-Hawks has been named a U Sports women’s volleyball first team all-Canadian.
Snow, an outside hitter for the Sea-Hawks, recently finished up her collegiate career by winning her second consecutive MVP award in Atlantic University Sport, leading the conference in kills (273), kills per set (3.69), service aces (32), points (322.5) and points per set (4.4).
Snow, who is from Bishop's Falls, was a nominee for U Sports (formerly CIS) player of the year. Meg Casault from the University of Alberta won the award, which was announced Thursday night in Toronto, site of the U Sports national championship.
