Lord’s Cove native wins age group at cross-country nationals

KINGSTON, ON – Leo Papail of Lord’s Cove ran his way to a top finish for his age group at the 2017 Canadian cross-country championships on Saturday, Nov. 25.

Papail’s time of 27:57.4 was seventh in the men’s masters 8K race and tops amongst runners from ages 35-39 in the competition.

Papail, 38, runs with the Newmarket Huskies Track Club in Ontario. His team also won the men's title for 35-plus.

The event was held in Kingston, Ont.
