At King George Park, Thomas Pieroway provided shutout goaltending and Mike Dunne and Jake Warren got the goals as the Crusaders won for the first time in six games after starting the season with two losses and three ties.

In Sunday’s other game, Mount Pearl First Choice Haircutters and Feildians played to a scoreless draw in Mount Pearl. Registering shutouts were Brandon Noseworthy for Mount Pearl and Braeden Sheppard for the Double Blues.

On Saturday, John Douglas got the shutout, and Stefan Slaney, Brent Hennebury and Jordan Caines scored the goals as St. Lawrence trimmed Feildians 3-0 at King George V.

Also at King George V, Holy Cross and Mount Pearl battled to a 1-1 tie. Warren was the Crusaders’ goalscorer, and Scott Woodfine — a former Holy Cross player — found the mark for Mount Pearl.
