Apple Event 2023: Just 24 Hours Until iPhone 15 Takes Center Stage

Apple’s Wonderlust event will take place tomorrow at the Steve Jobs Theater The rumored iPhone 15 And new Apple Watches announced. This is the first event since the introduction by Apple Vision Pro at WWDC Earlier this summer. The annual fall iPhone event has become a cultural touchpoint that heralds the end of summer, along with pumpkin spice.

For months, endless running iPhone 15 Rumors Spread online. Some point to a straightforward round of year-to-year upgrades, while others point to the possibility of a rebranded larger Pro model. iPhone 15 Ultra. As anticipation builds, here’s everything you can expect from Apple’s fall event. you can Check out the Wonderlust event stream Starting at 10 am PDT/1 pm EDT.

Wandering?

The event invite is intriguing, showing the Apple logo made up of tiny dust-like particles. The logo has grooves carved into it, similar to the formations you see in windswept sand dunes.

The tagline “Wonderlust” is definitely a play on the word Wanderlust means a strong longing or urge to wander. Does wonderlust mean a strong longing or an urge to wonder? Like everyone else, we’re trying to read something into the invitation and wondering what it has to do with Apple’s upcoming announcements. Do the grooved cutouts in the logo hint at a less boxy iPhone design? Could the particles mean improved cameras capable of capturing more detail? Could the colors — metallic shades of gray, blue and gold — hint at the colors of the new iPhone or Apple Watch?

Or does it all acknowledge the fleeting nature of existence? No idea. But I expect the iPhone 15 Pro to be the flagship.

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus

Like the iPhone 14 series, the new iPhone lineup will have four models: iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who has a solid track record of covering Apple leaks, suggests that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will essentially be a repackaged iPhone 14 Pro without a telephoto camera or stainless steel body.

The new phones will get a 48-megapixel main camera and the A16 chip from the 14 Pros. On the outside, both phones will trade their display notches for the dynamic island cutout that debuted on the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 family

Apple brought back the Plus model for the iPhone 14 series last year. It replaced the space previously reserved for the iPhone mini model.

Despite the addition of Dynamic Island, don’t expect any other changes to the screen. Visual analyst Ross Young said In a post called X on Twitter in September 2022, he said he doesn’t expect the base iPhone 15 models to get as high a refresh rate as Apple’s Pro iPhones.

And according to a May Report Chargerlab, a battery and charging specialist website, set the record straight for rumors that all four iPhone 15 models will support 15W wireless charging using the Qi2 open standard announced earlier this year. If this turns out to be true, it means the iPhone 15 will open up a whole new world of wireless charging devices that don’t require Apple MagSafe accessories to be licensed.

But the biggest change expected in all four iPhones is the switch from the Lightning connector. The iPhone 15 series will replace the lighting port with a USB-C port due to pressure from the European Union, which passed legislation to adopt USB-C as a common charging standard. The last time Apple changed the iPhone’s power port was in 2012, when it introduced the Lightning port on the iPhone 5, which spelled the end of the wider 30-pin iPod connector used previously.

Whether all new iPhones globally will have USB-C or just how Apple will handle it in the EU is a bit murky. But it is highly likely that all new iPhone models will be sold with a USB-C port in the future.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Camera Lenses

The lenses on the iPhone 14 Pro Max stand out a bit. Apple could put its next telephoto lens inside the body of the iPhone 15 Pro Max via a periscope assembly.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Of all the things Apple is expected to announce, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max may have the biggest changes. According to Gone is Bloomberg’s Gurman stainless steel, and instead the Pro model’s frame will be made from titanium. The change in materials will help reduce the overall weight of each phone, which would be heavy even without a case.

The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will get a new chip called the A17, which features a supertiny, 3-nanometer processor and Apple’s smallest silicon to date. On the front, both the phones have thin display bezels.

The biggest change to the Pro models is the USB-C port, which will support faster data speeds for things like converting regular 15 and 15 Plus lag files and ProRes video files.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max may get a new 6x optical telephoto camera. Ming-Chi Kuo, a prominent Apple analyst with TF International Securities, predicts The iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a horizontally mounted periscope lens and camera unit inside the phone’s body, similar to the Pixel 7 Pro, Galaxy S23 Ultra and Sony Xperia 1 V.

Doubling the native optical zoom from 3x to 6x helps you capture magnified photos with better detail, resolution and dynamic range compared to the 6x digital zoom on the current iPhone 14 Pro.

One hand holds the phone

There is no physical button on the HTC U12. Instead there were nubs where touch-sensitive buttons would normally go. Apple is rumored to be doing the same with its iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

Josh Miller/CNET

Guo reports that both Pro models feature solid-state volume and power buttons, further differentiating them from the regular 15 and 15 Plus. The buttons aren’t mechanical and are more similar to the touch-sensitive area introduced on the iPhone 7 and act like a “home button” thanks to some clever haptic feedback. Back in 2018, the HTC U12 had solid state buttons instead of mechanical buttons; However, the experience of using them is not great.

A couple of rumors have been circulating, albeit a little dated or improbable. The first is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which may be rebranded as the iPhone 15 Ultra. Bloomberg’s Gurman mentioned Possible about a year ago, but should be taken with a grain of salt as Gurman hasn’t brought it up recently.

Another up-in-the-air rumor comes via MacRumors, was discovered The code in the beta version of iOS 17 describes the functionality of the action button similar to the one on the Apple Watch Ultra. Such a hardware addition would be a first for Apple, and would be for more phone-specific tasks, such as the iPhone’s action button shortcuts or triggering the camera shutter. We have to wait till the 12th to find out.

In a less ambitious update, it looks like the next regular Apple Watch will be a relative year-over-year repeat of the Apple Watch Series 8. Series 9 may come in new colors. as reported By MacRumors, basically Mail According to X/Twitter user ShrimpApplePro, the Apple Watch Series 9 may come in a new pink color.

The Series 9 will be powered by the new S9 chip, which Bloomberg’s Gurman reveals in his post. Power on In May the Discord channel was described as bringing improvements in efficiency and performance. This is another way of saying that battery life will be better.

Apple Watch Ultra 2nd generation version can be found here. The rugged watch debuted last year, and X/Twitter reported that a new version might bring a faster chip and come with a black titanium finish. Mail By ShrimpApplePro. A black version of the Ultra might look amazing!

Well, let’s talk about everything else.

Will the Vision Pro appear at Apple’s September 12 event?

John Kim/CNET

The new version of the AirPods case can be found with a USB-C connector. iOS 17 and WatchOS 10 will get an official release date. I can’t imagine Apple missing the opportunity to update everyone on its Vision Pro headset announced in June at WWDC.

Obviously, until Tim Cook and crew walk that stage at the Steve Jobs Theater and make their announcements, we won’t know for sure.
