MARYSTOWN, N.L. —

The Youth Ventures program is back up and running for the 2019 summer season.

The program is seeking youth who are driven and passionate about turning their creative ideas into a profitable venture.

Youth Ventures is a program designed to encourage youth ages 12 to 29 to start up and run their own businesses. As a coordinator, I am responsible for promoting the Youth Ventures Program and for assisting those interested in becoming an entrepreneur and starting up their own business. Services offered by the Youth Ventures Program include idea generation, completing a business plan, marketing and promotion, financial information assistance, business counseling, mentoring, etc.

Why choose to be an entrepreneur? Becoming an entrepreneur allows you to be your own boss. You gain flexibility by creating your own working schedule, and by developing rules and procedures that compliment you. Successful entrepreneurs work at jobs that they enjoy and make money while doing it.

Do you have an idea, hobby or interest that you feel could potentially turn a profit? Are you self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic? Do you want to be your own boss? If so, Youth Ventures could be the perfect opportunity for you to take part in for this coming summer.

Already have a business? Youth Ventures has the tools to help you with your already established business by assisting with marketing and promotion, financial assistance and providing you with a mentor.

If you are interested in creating your own business, Youth Ventures can help. For further information, check out our website, www.youthventuresnl.com, or contact me at the information below.

You can also drop by the Community Business Development Corporation, located on the second floor of the W.R Building in Marystown.

It’s time to start makin’ lemonade with Youth Ventures!
