Designer Melanie Jacqueline from St John’s had a pop-up studio sale at Islaview Place in Deer Lake on Saturday.

Jacqueline, who grew up in Deer Lake and is a close friend of Sarah Short, owner of Islaview studio, was on the west coast with products from her new “The Heart Collection.”

To her the heart represents more than just love, it is symbolic of happiness, kindness, family, adventure and fun and she says all of these traits are at the heart of her new collection.

The heart is also a very important symbol of the Islaview Foundation, and on Saturday, Jacqueline donated a portion of sales for the day to the Foundation.
