While Bonavista is a popular tourist destination for people of all ages, according to the Expedia.ca TravelBlog content team, it’s a top Canadian destination for baby boomers in particular.
In an article written by Jennifer Cuellar, Bonavista was one of 13 different locations in Canada picked by baby boomers as a good destination.
“Bonavista was recommended by name in our survey by baby boomers, and it's certainly well-deserved. With stunning sights like icebergs and restaurants with astoundingly good seafood, this is a perfect destination for seasoned travellers,” says Cuellar.
Expedia also cited this information as good news, as according to the Canadian Tourism Institute, the baby boom generation is set to become the main travel market over the next decade, spending about $35 billion each year.
The 12 other destinations included on the list are: St. Thomas, Ont.; White Rock, B.C.; Cavendish Beach, P.E.I.; Edmonton, Alb.; Cowichan Valley, B.C.; Grand Manan Island, N.B.; Calgary, Alb.; Thompson, Man.; Hamilton, Ont.; Comox Valley, B.C.; Cochrane, Alb.; and Quebec City, Que.
