Burin Peninsula RCMP are requesting the public’s help with a case of mischief that occurred overnight on Route 210 outside of Marystown.
Sometime between Dec. 1-2, a chainsaw was used to cut down the recently placed road sign on Kaetlyn Osmond Way. A stop sign was also cut down at the intersection of Route 210 and the access road to Jean De Baie.
The RCMP advise the public that removing road signs is a serious offence. The removal of a stop sign could lead to a collision causing serious injury or death.
The incident remains under investigation.
