Both companies were praised for their integration and training of employees, positive culture, promotion of positive work-life balance and open and consistent communication.

Community Spirit awards were handed out in three categories including Community Credit Union for small business and Keyin College for medium-large, both based in Marystown, as well as St. Lawrence’s 3L Training and Employment for commercial enterprise.

A new Committee Recognition award – chosen by the evaluating committee for the Business Awards – was also presented to the St. Gabriel’s Hall Committee.

Last year’s award winners were invited to make the presentations to their successors.
