On Saturday, Feb. 2 at approximately 6 a.m., Marystown RCMP received a call of a vehicle parked on the side of Marine Drive blocking the path of a slow plow.
Police attended and charged a 30-year-old man from Beau Bois with impaired driving. He has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving with no registration, insurance or driver’s licence.
Later that same morning, police received another complaint of a possible impaired driver heading towards Shoal Cove.
Officers responded and located the vehicle at the intersection of Marine Drive and Creston Boulevard. The driver, a 62-year-old man from Marystown, was charged with impaired driving. He was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle without a driver’s licence.
Police impounded both vehicles. The two men were released and will appear in court in March, 2019.
