A 34-year-old Marystown man was arrested last week for allegedly driving while impaired.
Shortly before midnight on Friday, July 26, members of the Burin Peninsula RCMP conducted a traffic stop near Hollett’s Farm in Burin. According to a news release, the vehicle failed to dim its headlights to oncoming traffic.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving and brought back to the Marystown detachment where he allegedly provided breath samples over the legal limit.
He has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The man license was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Grand Bank Provincial Court on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
