Local students heading to ROV competition

Students from Heritage Collegiate in Lethbridge are heading to St. John's tomorrow for the Marine Advanced Technology Education Centre (MATE) Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Newfoundland and Labrador Regional Competition being held at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI).

The competition, which will involve students from 30 junior and senior high schools from around the province, will compete Thursday to Saturday, April 30-May 2.

The competition is part of a network of 23 regional contests that take place across the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Scotland, Japan and Egypt.
