Funds raised through their support have helped the Foundation to make investments in the health and well-being of the residents of Central Newfoundland.

In particular, this past year the Foundation was able to complete revitalizing two patient rooms in the Mental Health Unit at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, allowing a more positive environment for patients and staff. The Foundation is committed to continue this project until all 12 patient rooms are refurbished.

This year Central Health introduced a new Transitional Long Term Care Unit at the regional facility. The Foundation is supporting this project for the well-being of senior patients on this unit.

In addition, the South and Central Health Foundation has purchased a new Retinal Camera for the eye health of our citizens as well as state-of-the-art technology for hearing assessment and treatment in children, plus many other investments.
