Youth Ventures has been quite successful in helping youth set up a variety of different types of businesses including sole proprietorships, partnerships and even non-profit organizations for the summer season.
Youth Ventures is a program for youth, aged 12-29, to start up and run their own businesses. We are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to create their own terms of employment this summer by creating their own venture in their community.
‘WASH N’ GO’ is a car washing business owned and operated by Youth Ventures participants Mitchell Brushett and Kandis Stoddard of Marystown. The business is located in the Irving parking lot in Marystown and costs only $4 per car!
These two motivated entrepreneurs planned and opened their business in the same week and are doing great already. They determined an easy and fast way to make some quick cash this summer.
Jamilyn Lundrigan of St. Lawrence is a post-secondary marketing student who was determined to start her own marketing venture. ‘Imaj Marketing’ is a creatively skilled marketing company that fosters small to medium sized businesses in Newfoundland and Labrador through affordable yet effective marketing solutions.
Imaj Marketing offers a variety of services including advertising, brand development, event planning, guerilla marketing campaigns, logo design, market research, media coverage & public relations, press releases, partnership development and management, signage design, creation and placement, social media networking and website development.

Youth Ventures will help you create new and exciting ways to promote your business to your community. We help with poster and business card creation, developing your business website, creating social networking pages, etc. You name it, we can help!
Financial Training and Assistance By completing the Youth Ventures business plan, we can help you determine the amount of money you will need to get started and the projected profit you will make. Youth Ventures also offers opportunities for loans for those businesses that may need a little cash to get their business off the ground.
