A 7-1 loss to the host Charlottetown Pride on Saturday wrapped up an 0-4 experience for the Dennis GM Western Kings at the 2019 Major Midget AAA Atlantic Championship.
Declan MacEachern (2), Sam MacNeill (2), Nigel Morris, Cameron MacLean, and Ed McNeill found the back of the net for the victors.
Lucas Robinson was the lone goalscorer in the losing cause.
Jonah Arbing and Eric MacInnis shared the crease for the Pride, with Arbing making 21 stops and MacInnis stopping nine of 10.
Lucas Park took the loss, making 36 saves.
After a tight 3-0 loss on the opening day on Thursday to the Halifax Macs, the Kings began bleeding goals on the weekend.
Friday began with an 11-1 loss to the Kinsington Wild.
Bennett MacArthur (2), Colby MacArthur (2), Jack Campbell (2), Zach Biggar, Zac Arsenault, Reid Peardon, William Proud and Landon Clow lit the lamp in the win.
Robinson struck for the Kings.
Chad Arsenault earned the win in net, kicking aside 18 shots.
Lucas Wiseman allowed 10 goals on 52 shots, while Park came in for the final seven minutes, giving up a goal on four shots.
Later Friday, the Kings fell 8-1 to the Moncton Flyers.
Cole Cormier (2), Yannic Bastarache, Brock Forythe, Owen Cole, Matthew Lint, Nicolas Bourque, and Keegan Hunt did the damage for the Flyers.
The Kings goal came off the stick of Jesse Hickey.
Jacob Leblanc made 16 saves in the win.
Park blocked 43 of 51 in the losing cause.
